Qualifications and Approach
I am a qualified counsellor with a Foundation Science Degree in Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am qualified to work both face-to-face and online. I attend regular Continued Professional Development.
I have experience working with client concerns including:
Anxiety
Depression
Family issues
Bereavement
Abuse
Trauma
In addition, I have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including autistic people and those with ADHD.
As an integrative counsellor, I believe there is no single therapeutic approach that suits everyone. I draw on a range of counselling theories, including psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, thoughtfully adapting my work to meet you as an individual and to support your specific needs.
My Belief as an Integrative Counsellor
Research shows that the relationship between the client and the counsellor plays a central role in healing. Each person experiences and understands the world in their own way, shaped by their family, relationships, environment, culture and life experiences.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I aim to offer a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where you feel accepted, respected, and understood. I believe that with the right support, insight and care, people have the capacity to grow, heal and create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
Together, we can gently explore your experiences at your own pace, making sense of them and processing your feelings to develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Through this collaborative process, I support you in working towards growth and healing, while striving to create a space grounded in warmth, empathy, respect, and understanding.
